12239364_1931703593720755_1521292049010752080_oMembers from Oxford Kendo, Oxford University Kendo and Oxford Brookes Kendo participated in the 2015 Mumeishi 3s competition. Mumeishi 3’s is a two minutes competition of three-people teams with a minimum of one person at the kyusha grade level. This year, we were very proud to be able to send our largest ever participation of junior members to the tournament. We also had our newly founded sister dojo, Oxford Brookes University Kendo, send its first team to a tournament.

Oxford Kendo’s A Team with Lee (4-Dan), Ikeda (2-Dan) and Hameed (1-Kyu) advanced the furthest to the quarter finals in their court.

We would like to congratulate our junior members on winning three medals with 3rd places going to Yoji Hiyama and Ryuki Hiyama in their separate age divisions and the Fighting Spirit award given to Jack Coaley. We also congratulate Gabe Peach-Toon and Louis Hynes with their hard work on their first kendo tournament!
